Wooden Songbird Flower Press Herbarium Kit
This flower press kit lets children aged 4 and up turn the petals and leaves they pick on a walk into a small herbarium. The square wooden press, decorated with a songbird, closes tight by hand, and the layers of card and paper inside hold each find flat while it dries.

Montessoripedagogiskt syfte
Designat för att främja barnets självständighet och koncentration
Carefully crafted from high-quality natural wood, this authentic educational toy (Wooden Songbird Flower Press Herbarium Kit) invites children to explore textures, movements, and problem-solving through joyful hands-on play.
Montessori Pedagogy & Educational Benefits
Inspired by Maria Montessori's child-centred learning principles, this material encourages self-correction, spatial awareness, and deep concentration. Children develop autonomy as they manipulate tactile wooden components at their own natural rhythm.
Fine Motor Dexterity & Coordination
Engaging with carefully sized wooden pieces exercises the pincer grasp, strengthens wrist control, and sharpens hand-eye coordination—foundational skills essential for writing, drawing, and daily practical independence.
Eco-Friendly & Child-Safe Craftsmanship
Made from responsibly sourced solid wood finished with smooth, splinter-free edges and non-toxic water-based stains. Fully certified in compliance with European CE and British toy safety standards.
